Setting Sag is the first order of Suspension Business
Suspension continues to be one of the mysteries of sportbiking. In this episode we shed some light on what is called Setting Sag, the purpose of which is to get your suspension in a workable range for your weight. Unless you're an top level AMA pro racer, setting sag is the gateway to the rest of your suspension life.
I cannot see any of the how-to videos completely, it stop after about a third and restarts. Can you help with this pls.

Good info in an easily understood presentation..Especially about riding a friends' bike. In my case there is almost always a minumum of 45 pounds difference..Now when I say no, I have some info to work with

I remember a complete database on the old website, but where is it here? It has some great info on suspension settings for stock bikes.

First, this was a great tutorial and I've learned much about the suspension of my k8 gsxr-600 by using the same procedures. For over a year, I've been frustrated with my suspension that is identical to the bike in the video. The problem being that my rear shock causes a bucking bronco at highway speeds in certain freeway sections. After months of copious daily adjustments and notes, I was unable to tame the rough ride in these freeway sections (I've ridden with others including other gixxers in these bumpy sections who all seem to be balanced). I explored the full spectrum of adjustment of hydraulics and damping with a correctly set sag. It was suggested to go lighter on the spring. A month ago I had installed two steps down a lighter spring. After sag was set for the new spring, I noticed no difference. The tail section continues to heavily bounce. I've since gone through another daily series of adjusting and balan...

...balancing my front and rear rebound and compression. Some suggest having the rear shock revalved while others say to get an after market replacement. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the great video that coincidentally matched my bike.

If you change the rear shock linkage from a progressive type to a more linear type of linkage, will you have to change your spring rate even if the spring on the shock was the correct rate for your weight and you had the correct sag numbers before you changed the linkage? I made this change and now I have more sag with the preload set at the same setting that it was with the progressive linkage. My bike is a 2004 ZX10R.

In those vids they kind of went over the average weight that some stock suspensions were ideal for.
I was hoping to look up my bike.. 07 GSXR600.
There is also an old vid of Kevin Hanson and Scotty Ryan running Blackhawk and going over each turn. Are those vids lost?
