What the heck is wrong with Edmondson? There is a reason cars haven't been used
on the same track as motorcycles IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF MOTORCYCLE RACING. Too
dangerous. Glad no one got hurt.

What's wrong with the driver of the saftey car??? He should know better not to
PARK on a racing line in a blind turn!! Why didn't he just use the pit exit like
everyone else does? I'm not a huge fan of the saftey car either but I have seen
the use of a saftey car done well in some BSB races. I guess my question is
what's the difference between thier uses here and there?? Very glad no one was
injured.

DMG's arrogance is going to get someone killed. And when they happens I hope
they burn.

I guess the whole idea behind the safety car is to keep the show moving without
the chance of multiple restarts. The concept is good it keep's the show within
the allotted TV time oh wait that's right there is no live coverage what the
hell was I thinking. OK so all new things have teething problems they will get
it straightened out before the new owners take over I mean before the end of the
season. Remember always take responsibility for your actions ( DMG motto said
between clinched teeth ) To Be or not To Be ----- a hood ornament ( Blake Young
quote said with clinched cheeks )

Mat is seriously considering any future in racing as far as it pertains to
involvement with DMG sanctioning. The first part of the vid he had a more
contemplative look to him than I remember seeing. It's interesting that he's
not being as outspoken as one would expect him to be. I'm sure some behind the
scenes "suggestion" from DMG's monkeys are to blame for that.

I really hope Mat goes with WSBK. That would be a great show.
mikesC14  - DMG continues to disappoint   |Registered |2009-07-07 18:40:04
As the riders have said, the pace car does not belong. DMG continues to
disappoint. Too many bad decisions. It has been much harder to stay interested
in this series. We the fans thought the idea was to promote the series and grow
the series, not kill it or the riders in the process.
Dave2van  - I'll scream But their not going to Listen !   |Registered |2009-07-07 19:10:47
Unfortunately for Mat I think he is going to have to be the one to speak out
about the issues. To be honest I have really been surprised too that he has not
said more about things to date especially when you look at the first interviews
he did after Daytona and Fontana he didn't hide the fact that he was not happy
about things. He is the series marquee rider and one of the true veterans of the
series. In some ways he has the least to lose if they pushed him away from the
series through fines or sitting him he would easily find a ride some where else.
This is not something to be said by a lot of the other riders involved in the
series. I do not wish the task on Mat who seems to be happy racing here in the
US. I am sure the thought of moving and how it would impact his family and the
changes it would have on their lives really would be a lot. But I think he is
the logical one to do it. That or they need to have a rider strike wher...

That or they need to have a rider strike where a group of them together say hay
you have to listen or we are not racing. But this can affect fans and promoters
who are just stuck in the middle and along for the ride. Start a petition signed
by the riders agreeing on the issues that need to be talked about or changed.
Send it over to DMG and put a date on it if things are not discussed by date X
we do not ride. It is really a shame when things get to a point like this. Is
there an outside chance DMG will wake up and have the courage to say it does not
work or are they that really that pig head. Would it work if used differently
throw the red stop the race have all riders pit in line up behind the safety car
then when the track is cleared follow the car out. And if this is the case
should we just go back to standing restarts. If I understand why the safety car
was implemented it was for time issues so I guess we are back to square...
alyinsf   |Registered |2009-07-08 09:48:28
A pace car is used actually - in BSB they throw an Audi out there. It's done
faultlessly, and the tracks are just as silly as US ones, so it can be done.
yoshimura exit   |Registered |2009-07-08 20:29:38
Just thankfully nobody paid for the imcomptence of you know who, so next year
when the good-guy's{Yoshimura} decides to explore other avenue's, I hope DMG
will remember there fanatastic year.......

Why can't these overpaid racers just buy out DMG? It's a great tax shelter, as
is any busness deduction. Don't Matt make $5M/yr?

Quit yer whinin and DO
something.

And why dont these rich racers start their own sportbike
manufacturer made in USA? Not that Buel Rotax eurojunk. Another great tax
writeoff. Or does the NWO just wack em if they try that?
